Sculptures by Robert Milnes are being featured in solo shows at two galleries this April. The first, at Mars Landing Galleries in Mars Hill, NC, opens April 1 and runs through April 30. Milnes’ work will be represented by the gallery after that. The exhibition features works through 2021 and is the largest complication of sculptures by Robert Milnes this decade. The show, titled “Shapes and Patterns that Question Cognition” includes works focusing on how we show we think we know something and how we act upon it.
The song show, at PDNB Gallery in Dallas, TX, follows a virtual show at the Gallery in 2020. The show opens April 9 and runs through July 2. The show, titled “Sea What I Think” is new work from 2022 based on images from coral, and re-affirmations of philosophical expressions or empiricism in light of climate change.
